Training

Foundation Run have provided us with these ultra flexible training plans to help you reach your goals. These plans are designed so that you can fit your training in around whatever’s happening in your life. All you need to do is spread your the workouts as evenly as possible throughout your week. The little dumbbell picture means do a strength session and there more details about the training, right at the bottom of the Foundation Run page.

Course Information

The start line for all events is opposite the Pacific Apartments at 10 Marine Parade, Mount Maunganui.

All courses begin by running/walking East along Marine Parade until reaching their respective turnaround points. Once competitors have turned at their respective turnaround points they will run/walk back through the start area then turn left onto Adams Ave and be directed around Mauao Base Track (clockwise).

The Half Marathon course completes two full laps.

Half Marathon Course Stats

Vertical Climbing: approximately 200m

Support Stations: 6

Turnaround Point on Marine Parade is approx outside #203 Marine Parade (between Hart Street and Roundabout).

10km Course Stats

Vertical Climbing: approximately 100m

Support Stations: 3

Turnaround Point on Marine Parade is approx outside #189B Marine Parade (between Clyde Street and Hart Street).

5km Course Stats

Vertical Climbing: approximately 100m

Support Stations: 1

Turnaround Point on Marine Parade is approx outside #28 Marine Parade (between Pacific and Banks).
